The white Zebrina detrita is an air-breathing land snail. The shell is white and covered with brown radial streaks. The width of the shell is between 12-25 millimeters and has 6-7 turns. The snail species prefers relatively sunny and dry habitats on calcareous soils up to 1600 meters a.s.l. During a walk through the Valais rocky steppe you may have the opportunity, to find the eye-catching snails on a blade of grass.
